Posts from my road trip from Zambia to Mozambique

Flying Back

I flew back from Mozambique, through South Africa and back to Livingstone, Zambia. This is a shot of Victoria Falls (or Vic Falls as the locals call it) from the air. The falls are actually about a mile long, with the majority of it in Zimbabwe.

The GP Zambia Team

These are the members of Global Partners living and working in Zambia. (Almost everyone, Dr. Dan isn’t in the picture). They are a fantastic group to work with. From left to right starting in the back, Jesse and Selinda, me, Dr. Joan, Lauren, then in front Shareen and Mike.

Sunrise Service

On Sunday morning at the retreat in Mozambique we had a sunrise communion service on the beach looking out into the Indian Ocean. It was a beautiful morning and a wonderful experience. I got to play guitar and lead a few songs during the service with my friend Lisa. I’ll admit, I was grumpy about the early wake up, but it was a beautiful experience.

Road Trip: Mozambique

This year’s annual Global Partner’s Africa Area Retreat was held in Xai-Xai, Mozambique. (Hence all the road trip posts). It was at a nice hotel at a beach on the Indian Ocean, although we didn’t get to spend a whole lot of time at the beach. The retreat was a fantastic time of learning, sharing, encouraging and seeking God together. I was really blessed by the people there, it was definitely a worth while experience!

Road Trip: South Africa

This road trip started in Zambia, crossed the Zambezi River into Botswana, through Botswana into South Africa. Then through South Africa and Kruger National Park, into Mozambique and to Xai-Xai on the eastern cost of Africa!
